Dubai to Illuminate 40 Districts with Advanced LED

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled a comprehensive street lighting project aimed at improving safety and energy efficiency across 40 districts in the city. Valued at AED 278 million, the initiative is set to be completed by the end of 2026, aligning with the emirate's urban expansion and sustainability goals.

The plan involves replacing conventional lighting with eco-friendly LED systems that consume significantly less energy and require lower maintenance. More than 1,000 units have already been installed in Umm Suqeim 1 and Al Mizhar areas as part of the project’s first phase, which will eventually cover a network stretching across major streets and residential neighborhoods.
