Rahul Easwar to sue actress for allegation

Activist Rahul Easwar has announced plans to send a legal notice for defamation to actress Honey Rose, who has accused him of orchestrating a cyber campaign to discredit her sexual harassment complaint against businessman Boby Chemmanur. Easwar contends that the allegations against him are baseless and have caused significant harm to his reputation.
Honey Rose filed a formal complaint with the Central Police Station in Ernakulam, alleging that Easwar's actions were aimed at manipulating public opinion and trivializing her grievance. She claimed that Easwar's involvement led to threats, vulgar remarks, and mental distress, accusing him of attempting to tarnish her dignity and professional reputation. The actress emphasized that such organized attacks discourage women from coming forward with complaints, labeling Easwar's actions as harassment and cyberbullying.
In response, Easwar has denied the allegations, asserting that he has not insulted Honey Rose and had only offered suggestions regarding her attire. He stated that he opposes all forms of cyberbullying and has applied for anticipatory bail. Easwar emphasized his commitment to pursuing the case to its conclusion and mentioned that he intends to represent himself in court.
The Kerala Youth Commission has also taken note of the situation, filing a case against Easwar based on a complaint from the NGO Dhisha Kerala. The organization accused Easwar of repeatedly demeaning womanhood and spreading misogynistic comments through television channels. Youth Commission Chairman M Shajar stated that individuals who insult survivors during television debates should not be allowed to participate in such discussions.
