Google Maps misdirection delays wedding by hours

A wedding in Kerala was delayed by three hours after the groom's party mistakenly arrived at the wrong temple, 70 kilometres away from the intended venue, due to a misdirected Google Maps pin.
The groom and his entourage had embarked on a 430-kilometre journey from Thiruvananthapuram to Keezhur in Kannur, where the ceremony was scheduled at 10:30 am. However, relying on a location pin shared by a relative, they arrived punctually at Sree Kizhur Mahashivakshethram in Kizhur, Payyoli, near Vadakara in Kozhikode district. Upon arrival, they found no signs of the bride's family or wedding preparations.
Confusion ensued as both families insisted they were at the correct temple. It was soon realised that the groom's party had been misled by the digital map, leading them to a temple with a similar name but in a different district. The bride awaited at the Mahavishnu Temple in Keezhur, Iritty, Kannur.
