A 42-year-old woman, Mini Nambiar, was arrested on Wednesday by Pariyaram police in connection with the murder of her husband, KK Radhakrishnan, an autorickshaw driver, who was shot dead in Kaithapram, Kannur. She has been accused of conspiring with the prime suspect, Santhosh, in the planning and execution of the murder.
The tragic incident took place earlier this month when Radhakrishnan was shot by an unknown assailant while he was reportedly returning home from work. The shooting was a shocking event that sent ripples through the local community. Police initially struggled to piece together the motives behind the crime, but subsequent investigations have led to the arrest of both Nambiar and Santhosh.
Mini Nambiar, a resident of Mathamangalam, has been charged with involvement in the plot against her husband. Authorities believe that she played a significant role in orchestrating the murder. According to police reports, Nambiar had been in contact with the accused, Santhosh, who was arrested earlier, and they were allegedly in collusion over a motive yet to be fully established.
Law enforcement officials have yet to disclose whether financial disputes, personal grudges, or another issue contributed to the tragic event. Nambiar’s arrest has further deepened the investigation, with authorities looking into her relationships and possible motives leading to her involvement in the crime.
Santhosh, the main accused in the case, reportedly had a history with Radhakrishnan, which investigators are closely examining. The duo’s connection, however, remains unclear, and more details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses. Police have indicated that further questioning of the suspects will provide more clarity on the exact role played by each individual in this horrific crime.
