Congress Affirms K. Sudhakaran's Continuation as KPCC President Amid Leadership Speculations

The All India Congress Committee has confirmed that K. Sudhakaran will remain as the President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee , dispelling ongoing rumours about a potential leadership change within the party's state unit. In a press briefing held at the AICC headquarters in New Delhi, General Secretary K.C. Venugopal stated, "There is no discussion regarding a change in the KPCC leadership. We are moving forward with collective leadership, and the high command will closely monitor the party's activities in Kerala." This statement aims to quell the speculations that have been circulating in various media outlets.

K. Sudhakaran, who has been at the helm of the KPCC since his appointment, addressed the media, expressing his commitment to the party's cause. "I am ready to step down if the high command desires. However, as of now, there has been no such directive. My focus remains on strengthening the party and ensuring victory in the upcoming elections," he remarked. Leaders like Shashi Tharoor and Ramesh Chennithala have already clarified that they are unaware of any such discussions. Even as a former KPCC president, I have not been informed of any leadership change." This unified stance among the senior leadership underscores the party's intent to present a cohesive front.
