Addressing the media alongside State Secretary Adv. S. Suresh after the BJP state core committee meeting, Sudheer stated, "BJP has not started any campaign against the film. No movie affects the party. Cinema will go its own way, and the party will go its own way. It is the viewers who should judge what a film is. Cinema is not a matter that concerns us."
Despite the party's neutral stance, internal differences have surfaced. BJP State Vice President P. Reghunath expressed skepticism about the film's narrative, questioning whether it attempts to whitewash organizations like the now-defunct Popular Front of India and external agencies such as Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence .
Conversely, BJP leader M.T. Ramesh urged viewers to appreciate the film's cinematic aspects without political interpretations. He questioned, "Does Sangh Parivar have any role in this film? Why should we boycott it?"
